  1. JAMES BOND AUTOPC SCHEME-N-THEME
  2. -------------------------------------------------

  4. Welcome!  This SCHEME-N-THEME for the AutoPC adds a new
  5. selectable sound scheme to your AutoPC featuring
  6. sounds and voices from James Bond.  Pictures are included
  7. for use with Mobile Slideshow too. Please refer to your Mobile 
  8. Slideshow manual to use the slideshow. Installation instructions
  9. for the sound scheme follow, please read this entire file before 
  10. installing the sound scheme.

  12. INSTALLING
  13. ----------
  14. Installing this Sound Scheme on your AutoPC requires either:
  15.  
  16. 1.)  A CD-ROM Burner
  17. 2.)  A Compact Flash Card Writer
  18. 3.)  An HPC/PPC with a Compact Flash Card Slot
  19.  
  20.  
  21. CD-ROM BURNER/WRITER INSTALL
  22. ----------------------------
  23. Grab a blank CD and copy the AUTORUN.INF and 007.CEI
  24. files to the root directory of the blank CD.  
  25.  
  26. 1.  Burn the CD-ROM using MODE1:CD-ROM.  Do NOT use
  27. MODE2:CD-ROM XA which is the default in most CD
  28. writing programs (including Adaptec).
  29.  
  30. 2. Don't use weird characters in your cdname.   Make
  31. it simple and short.  Our test CD's worked fine using
  32. the Joliet file system.
  33.  
  34. 3. Close the CD.  It CANNOT be multisession. If you
  35. burned it using MODE1 you shouldn't be able to add
  36. sessions.

  38. Place the CD in your AutoPC's CD DASH slot AFTER you power
  39. up.  You will see the install program come up.  Just follow
  40. the instructions!

  43. COMPACT FLASH CARD WRITER INSTALL
  44. ---------------------------------
  45. Just copy the AUTORUN.INF and 007.CEI files to the root
  46. directory of your compact flash card.  Place the card into your
  47. AutoPC and the install program will start.

  50. HPC/PPC with CF SLOT INSTALL
  51. ---------------------------------
  52. Just copy the AUTORUN.INF and 007.CEI files to the root
  53. directory of your compact flash card.  You can do this by connecting to your handheld device (PPC/HPC) from your desktop.  After you
  54. copy the files, place the card into your AutoPC and the install
  55. program will start.

  58. USING THE SOUND SCHEME
  59. ----------------------
  60. After you install the scheme, it will be available under 
  61. AutoPC setup.  Go to SETUP, then SOUNDS.  Scroll down until
  62. you see SCHEME.  You will probably see AutoPC selected.
  63. This is the default sound scheme.  Move left/right to change
  64. schemes.  You will see James Bond-007.  Once you are done hit
  65. back and your sounds will change.  If you want to listen to each
  66. of the sounds hit ENTER and you can browse through the various
  67. sound events.  You can change back to the default AutoPC sound
  68. scheme at ANY time by selecting the AutoPC scheme under
  69. SETUP/SOUNDS/SCHEME.

  72. UNINSTALLING THE SOUND SCHEME
  73. -----------------------------
  74. First, go to SETUP/SOUNDS/SCHEME and select the default
  75. AutoPC sound scheme.  Next, go to SETUP/REMOVE PROGRAMS.  You
  76. will see a list of software installed on your AutoPC.  Select
  77. James Bond-007 and press ENTER.  Follow the directions and
  78. all the sound files will be removed from your unit.
